Welcome to Weekend #11
How a simple gesture of support became a lasting partnership, helping Grapes & Greens grow from its earliest episodes into Series 4.
Some partnerships start with a business plan. Others start with someone believing in what you’re trying to build.
When we launched Grapes & Greens, the ambition was simple: to bring together the worlds of golf, wine, travel and luxury hospitality through conversations with the people shaping these industries.
After recording just three episodes of our first series, Lease Loop came on board as a partner. And they did something I’ve never forgotten.
They supplied me with an iPad.
Not as part of some grand commercial arrangement, but simply to help me look a little more professional when interviewing guests on the podcast.
It might sound like a small gesture, but when you’re building something from the ground up, having someone believe in your vision and invest in what you’re trying to achieve means an enormous amount.
Fast-forward to today, and that original act of support has developed into a partnership that has continued all the way into Series 4 of Grapes & Greens.
And the technology Lease Loop provides continues to play an important role in everything we do.

The technology behind Grapes & Greens
While the original iPad helped bring a little extra professionalism to our early recordings, our needs have naturally grown alongside the podcast.
Today, Lease Loop also supplies a MacBook Air, supporting our technical team with the work that goes on behind the scenes.
That includes producing the newsletter you're reading right now, creating our graphics and marketing materials, maintaining our website and helping ensure everything runs smoothly across the Grapes & Greens platform.
It's the sort of work that our audience doesn't always see, but which makes a real difference to the finished product.
From the articles you read to the visuals you see and the podcast episodes you enjoy, reliable technology helps bring everything together.
For a growing business, having access to the right equipment without a significant upfront investment can make a genuine difference.
And that's exactly where Lease Loop comes in.
Helping businesses across the world of golf
Lease Loop's involvement in golf extends well beyond Grapes & Greens.
The company has worked with Me and My Golf since January 2018, supporting one of the sport's best-known coaching and content platforms.
Its wider client network also includes names such as Chris Ryan Golf, Ali Taylor Golf, The Swing Plate and South Staffordshire Golf Club.
It's not difficult to understand why Apple technology has become so important within the modern golf industry.
For coaches, an iPad can be an invaluable tool for analysing swings, providing instant feedback during lessons and working alongside launch monitors and specialist coaching applications.
For content creators and golf businesses, Macs provide the performance and flexibility needed for video editing, graphic design, marketing and day-to-day operations.
But high-quality technology comes at a cost.
Leasing offers a practical alternative, allowing businesses to access the equipment they need while spreading the cost and protecting their cash flow.
Whether you're an independent golf coach, a growing content business or an established golf facility, that flexibility can be incredibly valuable.
More than just a Mac or an iPad
What makes Lease Loop particularly interesting is that its service doesn't stop when the equipment arrives.
Every Mac or iPad leased through the company comes with at least three years of AppleCare for Enterprise, providing:
24/7 telephone and chat support
A three-year parts and labour hardware warranty
A temporary loan machine if equipment needs to be taken away for hardware repairs
That final point is particularly important for businesses that depend on their technology every day.
When your livelihood relies on producing content, managing customers or delivering a service, being without your computer can quickly become a serious problem.
Lease Loop has also earned hundreds of five-star Feefo reviews and is one of just 34 companies nationwide to have received Feefo's Exceptional Service Award.
But beyond the equipment, warranties and customer reviews, there's something else that stands out.
Lease Loop believes in building relationships, not simply completing transactions.
The team takes time to understand the businesses they work with, identify opportunities and introduce people across their network.
It's an approach that resonates strongly with us at Grapes & Greens.
After all, bringing people together and creating meaningful connections has always been at the heart of what we're trying to achieve.
From Series 1 to Series 4
Looking back, it's remarkable to think that this partnership began with a single iPad and a belief in an idea that was still finding its feet.
Today, Grapes & Greens continues to reach an international audience, bringing together fascinating people and stories from across golf, wine, travel and luxury hospitality.
And Lease Loop has been part of that journey almost from the beginning.
It's a reminder that the most valuable partnerships aren't necessarily those that begin with the biggest contracts or the grandest announcements.
Sometimes, they start with a simple gesture, a shared outlook and someone willing to give an idea a chance.
To everyone at Lease Loop, thank you for supporting Grapes & Greens from those early episodes and for continuing to provide the technology that helps us do what we do.
We're incredibly grateful to have you alongside us as we continue into our fourth series and beyond.

From the Fairway to Franschhoek: A Shiraz Worth Talking About 🍷

Great golf, exceptional wine and a taste of South Africa.
What do you open when the final putt drops, the scorecard goes away and the stories from the round begin?
At Grapes & Greens, we’ve always believed that great golf and great wine go hand in hand. Both are about the experience, the people you share it with and the memories that stay with you long after the day is over.
This week, we're heading to South Africa's beautiful Franschhoek Valley to discover Allée Bleue Shiraz — a wine that brings together centuries of heritage, exceptional craftsmanship and plenty of character.
And there's a reason we're particularly excited about this one.
In just a couple of weeks, we'll be welcoming the CEO of Allée Bleue, giving us the opportunity to discover more about the estate, its wines and the people behind this remarkable South African name.
🍷 A Shiraz Full of Character
Rich, expressive and wonderfully approachable, Allée Bleue Shiraz is a wine that deserves a place at the table.
Its deep red colour sets the scene, followed by inviting aromas of violets, cinnamon, chocolate and ripe cherries.
On the palate, expect a smooth, silky texture, generous berry fruit and just enough spice to keep things interesting.
It's the sort of wine that feels right at home after a day on the golf course — whether you're celebrating a great round, sharing dinner with friends or simply enjoying the evening.
The Grapes & Greens verdict? A Shiraz made for good company, great food and conversations that last well into the evening.
🍽️ What to Serve With It
A good Shiraz deserves an equally memorable meal.
Grilled red meats, barbecued dishes and rich, peppery sauces all make excellent companions. But for something a little more adventurous, why not take inspiration from South Africa itself?
Allée Bleue recommends pairing its Shiraz with:
Ostrich kebabs basted with redcurrant jelly and pink peppercorns.
Springbok medallions served with cumin and spiced beetroot.
Both bring a distinctly South African flavour to the table.
🍷 Serving tip: The estate recommends serving this Shiraz at 10–13°C to showcase its fruit and freshness.
🌿 A Franschhoek Story Dating Back to 1690
There's much more to Allée Bleue than what's in the glass.
Established in 1690, the estate sits in the heart of South Africa's celebrated Franschhoek Valley, a region renowned for its dramatic scenery, rich winemaking heritage and outstanding hospitality.
Owned by the Dauphin family since 1999, Allée Bleue combines generations of agricultural tradition with a fresh, forward-thinking approach to wine.
At the heart of its winemaking is Van Zyl du Toit, whose philosophy centres on respecting the natural environment and allowing the vineyards to express their individual character.
From experimenting with amphorae to using large oak barrels, the estate continues to explore new ways of bringing its unique terroir to life.
It's a fascinating balance of history and innovation — and exactly the kind of story we love sharing at Grapes & Greens.
🎙️ Coming Soon: The Story Behind Allée Bleue
We're looking forward to welcoming the CEO of Allée Bleue in a couple of weeks for a conversation about the estate's remarkable journey.
From its centuries-old roots to the wines being produced today, we'll be exploring the people, passion and philosophy behind one of Franschhoek's distinctive wine estates.
If you love discovering exceptional wines, beautiful destinations and the stories behind them, this is one to look forward to.
Keep an eye on Grapes & Greens for more from Allée Bleue.
Because whether it's a memorable round of golf, a remarkable glass of wine or a new destination waiting to be explored, the best experiences are always worth sharing.
Great golf. Exceptional wine. Stories worth sharing.
